Mr. Mehrban Hussain - Chairman & Founder Of UWT
In October 2003, Mr. Mehrban Hussain donated 2.5 acres (20 Kanal) land to build Bangrilla community hospital. He started a foundation in July 2007Also did relief work in 2005 Earthquake in Muzaffarabad donated 2 Truckloads of Medicines to field hospital run by Al-Dawah. Built an ICU unit at Al-Abbas Institute of Medical Science in Muzaffarabad costing 1.5 million Rupees. He also did a lot of relief work in 2010 floods in Mansehra and other parts of Pakistan.

Bangrilla Community Hospital
The Hospital was inaugurated on the 16th of March 2016, which is supplying free Medical treatment to the Poors, Widows, Orphans, and those who are eligible for zakat. The total cost to build the Bangrilla Community Hospital was approximately 40 Million Rupees and around 1.5 Million on Furniture and Equipment.

Earthquake 2005 Muzafarabad
On October 8, 2005, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake shook the Kashmir region. More than 80,000 people perished as a result of the quake, while an estimated 4 million others were left homeless. UWT donated 2 truckloads of medicines to field hospital run by Al-Dawah, along with the ICU unit at Al-Abbas Institute of Medical Science in Muzaffarabad.

Earthquake 2019 Mirpur
Mirpur AJK, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck on Tuesday, leaving at least 30 persons, including women and children, dead in Mirpur district of Azad and Jammu Kashmir around more than 450 others injured. In this emergency, UWT had fully supported the resident of Mirpur AJK by constructing a house for a homeless family, providing 10,000 liters mineral water along & uncooked food to 100 families, free medication to 400+ patients, and camps have been donated to homeless families.

Covid - 19
COVID-19 has been proven the most dangerous threat according to UNICEF, the spread of the virus is scaling down globally. In this emerging global health crisis, UWT supported frontline health workers and Bangrilla Community Hospital responding to the coronavirus pandemic. BCH helped the affected people as much as possible by providing 4000+ Face Masks and 200+ Hand Sanitizers among the resident of Mirpur AJK. BCH’s catchment area from Kakra Town to Peer Galli Cross was sprayed and Food Packages were distributed among about 600 deserving families.
